Meet the Team

  • John E. Restrepo

    President and Founder

Across a span of 23 years, John has excelled in the realm of affordable housing development in New Jersey. His role in elevating a grassroots neighborhood organization into a successful nonprofit corporation operating in eight municipalities in Hudson and Essex Counties reflects his effective leadership. He adeptly managed over $130 million in funds, blending public and private investments, resulting in the creation of more than 500 affordable housing units. This encompassed revitalizing 200 abandoned properties and overseeing a 150-unit LIHTC portfolio. Notably, he initiated a homeownership program benefiting 150 local residents, generating over $300,000 in wealth per family. John's strategic acumen also extended to a neighborhood planning initiative that attracted several million dollars in new tax credit investments. Serving as chairman of the Board of Directors for the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey twice, he wielded influence over local and state policies, collaborating with multiple mayors and the Governor's office to drive impactful community development and affordable housing policies.
